Ground Floor: Two twin-beds bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (shower and bath) and ample storage.West bedroom has TV.
First Floor: Access through sweeping palatial stairs onto landing overlooking entrance hallway.Very private, large master bedroom with queen size bed, upholstered linen headboard and cobalt blue lacquered nightstands and matching lamps;  gilt sculpture on wall; empire-style chairs; TV and DVD player; air-conditioning/heating; large French doors open to own private terrace with view to garden and pool; en suite bathroom with spa which includes water jet springs.

Ground Floor: Two en-suite bathrooms both with bath tub and separate shower.
First Floor: Large en-suite bathroom with spa immersion, featuring adjustable massage jets. Wall-to-wall and floor covered with exquisite showcase of unique rose marble. Specially made shelves add storage to this luxurious bathroom.

Kitchen:
Recently totally refurbished, it is completely fully furnished with dishwasher, microwave, four ring electric hob/oven, small oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, cutlery, dishes, pots and pans. Small table with chairs provides area for lounging or breakfast. Window over sink area overlooks outside sitting area near pool.
Utility Room:
Separate utility room with washing machine, water heater, iron and ironing board. There is a guest cloakroom here and doors out to outside clothes line area and garden.
Living Room:
From entrance, double oak doors lead to living room, an example of discerning taste – a mix of traditional and modern. The living room has two distinct areas – one around the Satellite TV/DVD player and fireplace; and another suitable for afternoon drinks or reading – spacious couch, two chairs and Lucite modern table. Lighting adds to the ambience as well as the antique pieces displayed artfully and the unique original paintings which are gallery-worthy.
Ample French doors open to covered terraces and garden: to pool, to BBQ area and to backyard garden. Sumptuously furnished the living room has three very comfortable sofas, two near the feature fireplace.
Dining room:
Separate dining room in sunny alcove-like room, surrounded by windows overlooking garden. French hutch and round table with comfortable seating for six persons. Direct access to living room.
Other:
When entering the house, the spacious hallway and high ceilings lend a feeling of space and light to the guests. The stately staircase, with bespoke wooden rails, leads to a gracious catwalk/landing and master bedroom. The traditional glazed terracotta tile on all floors is conducive to little bare feet trotting through the house.

Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service:
Cleaning service mid-stay and departure clean. Towels changed once per week for clients booked for over one week. Provided: Pool/beach towels, hair dryer.
Amenities/Facilities:
Barbecue area, Private Pool, Parking, Garden. Dishwasher, Fridge/Freezer, Hob/Stove, Iron, Microwave, Oven, Washing Machine. Air Conditioning, Central Heating, Room Fans, Satellite TV.
At arrival: Welcome Pack in refrigerator compliments of owners.
Accessibility:
Property suitable for elderly. The downstairs area has no steps.
Outside:
Salt water 6m x 12m swimming pool. Plenty of sun loungers and outdoor furniture: sofas and chairs. Near the main entrance, pool and kitchen, there is a family table and chairs for al fresco dinning, under the awning of a gazebo. Poolside shower. The built-in charcoal BBQ area is located in the NW corner the garden.
The secluded, walled gardens – mostly manicured lawns and mature treees – are a welcome splash of green during the heat of the summer. There are ample parking facilities, inside the gate and outside, in the cul-de-sac area.
This is a safe, tranquil place for family get-togethers or to simply get away from it all. The shaded courtyards all around the house are an invitation to lazy afternoons (or mornings).

Notes on prices
Garden/pool maintenance, water and electricity are included in the price. No extra fee for departure cleaning! Air-conditioning available at NO extra charge.

Changeover day
Arrival and departure dates are flexible.
Arrival after 16:00hrs and departure by 10:00hrs unless otherwise agreed.
Booking notes
A deposit  is required to confirm the booking. The balance is payable six weeks before arrival. If booking is made during the six weeks before arrival, full payment is required. A refundable security deposit of 250€ is required with the balance, which will be returned five days after departure, less any damage, repair, breakage or additional costs, if incurred.

Golf
The entire area is golf heaven with more than 40 golf courses around.
The villa is a great golf retreat. Just down the road – less than 5min – is Penina Golf (18 holes). Penina Golf and Tennis Courts (3km), Morgado Reguengos (8km), Alto Golf (8km), Palmares (12km).
Penina Golf & Resort, considered one of the best golf courses in Portugal, with the 18-hole Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course has, besides the main course, two 9-hole courses to indulge in, and a golf academy with 12 covered bays. Boa Vista Golf (18 holes), home of the Henry Cooper Classic, is about 20min. away.
Ask about discounts on green fees, golf rentals, etc.
Coast/Beach
Closest beaches are Alvor, Meia Praia and Praia da Rocha.
Typically, the south coast beaches, because of the calmer waves and gentle slopping shoreline, are very nice for wading, beach combing, safe swimming and sunbathing.
The west coast (40min. away) is exciting, wild and excellent for surfing, body boarding, and the general enjoyment of the sea and dramatic cliffs and landscape.

Distances
The airport in Lisbon is about a 3 hours drive. International Faro Airport: 45min(75km) on the A22 motorway; Car hires are recommended to reserve in advance of arrival, especially during the high season.Please ask us for information.
Seville (Spain): about 3-hours drive.
The property is near the picturesque village of Alvor (8km) and the cities of Lagos (12km) and Portimão (10km). The city of Silves, once the capital of the Algarve, with its Moorish Castle and medieval streets 16km. Monchique mountain village, only 26km. Stop at Monchique Spring Water Spa on the way up.

Easy sightseeing car trip: Sagres, Europe’s most southwestern point.
Water Park – 3km (there are several),Horseriding (10km).
Shopping Center (Guia) – 15km
Praia da Rocha hub of shops, night life/Casino and down town Portimão is about 15min. drive.
Formula 1 circuit about 20 mins away.
Further Details
Many restaurants and convenience stores, shops, banks, all nearby. The village of Alvor is like a quaint shopping center, but there are many others around: Aqua Shopping Center in Portimão, Guia Shopping Center in Albufeira area.
Other activities available in the area: windsurfing, surf, para-gliding, skydiving, kite-surfing, horseback riding, cycling, hiking, dolphin watching, kayaking, jet skiing, diving, snorkeling, paragliding, coastal tours, sailing, fishing.

The extensive coast line and beach area offer plenty of privacy and sunbathing space for all, without any fear of towel overlapping. There is also plenty of space for beach games such as Frisbee and the very popular bat and ball.
Come here for a holiday out of season: a typical day in April is similar to an English summer day – with the garden looking its best. Average day-time temps – June:18º, July:20º, August:20-28º, Sept:19-25º.

About the Owner
Although Isabel helps us with the reservations for our home, we thought we would write some words as the owners. We enjoy spending time here, the living room sliding glass doors always open, enjoying the afternoon breeze and watching the grandchildren play in the pool or garden.

Galinha House se situe dans le beau quartier résidentiel de l’ Urbanisation Serra e Mar. Villa luxueuse entre montagne( s!te de Monchique à 20 minutes) et mer (plages de Alvor – 10 minutes et Rocha-15 minutes), ayant une décoration raffinée comprenant 3 chambres spacieuses avec chacune sa propre salle de bain ( bain, douche et toilette).
Meublée avec goût entourrée dune belle pelouse (+/-1250 m2), d’une grande piscine privée (6m x 12m) en mosaïque, autour de laquelle une terrasse spacieuse (+/- 250 m2) et douche extérieur . Le tout orienté au sud.
Les terrasses (Solarium ) sont équipées de transats et d’un salon extérieur à votre disposition pour rendre à votre séjour une véritable évasion.
Stationnement pour 2 voitures
La villa (de +/- 275 m2 avec l’étage) est composée au rez-de- chaussée d’un spacieux hall d’entrée, grande salle de séjour, salle a manger séparée, d’une grande cuisine complètement équipée et d’une buanderie avec toilette et patio et 2 chambres a lits jumeaux et leur salle de bains individuelle.
A l’étage la grande chambre principale spacieuse avec salle de bains- bain/ jacuzzi /douche, toilette- et terrasse (coté Sud).
Au Jardin, un espace BBQ vous attend.

A l’arrivée la housemanager vous attend pour vous expliquer le fonctionnement de la villa et assure la remise des clés.
Le ménage, inclu dans le prix, est assuré sur un séjour de 7 nuits : 1 x par semaines -2hrs, le changement de serviettes 1 x par semaine à la moitié du séjour et les draps 1 x par semaine à partir de plus de 7 nuits par séjour.
WIFI gratuit,
Air conditionnée présent dans toutes les chambres et séjour, un supplément de 80,00 € est demandé.
